Brown, 1 pound of lean, (but not too lean) hamburger. I like the 90/10 grade. Season with salt, pepper, & TONY'S!! I'm Livin' Louisiana!...remember. (See www.livinlouisiana.blogspot.com)

The way to use fresh garlic is that you 1st...take your knife & 'smush' the garlic clove. This cracks the outer shell, that you will peel off. I use 5 or more of these cloves. More or less, depending on how much you like garlic. I like! I use 6!

After you cut off the tiny ends, you then put the peeled clove into the garlic thinga-ma-doo.....garlic press! That's it...the name is garlic press...(I think). Place the mushed garlic into a skillet with 3 Tablespoons of Olive oil. Saute' on low..very low. Saute' is a fancy word for, 'put on low...very low'!

Next, chop up 1 onion. (My son is doing that right now). Place the onion with the fresh garlic in the skillet to saute'.

Next item on the chopping block...get it...chopping block. ANYWAY.. 1/2 cup of green pepper & 1/2 cup of red pepper. You can add more if you like. I like! Add the peppers to the garlic/onion/olive oil mixture. 'Saute-ing on medium' until vegetables are tender.

Can you smell the wonderful aroma?
Add the browned hamburger & the sauteed veggies, (I love that word...saute') to your favorite marinara base. It can be your own, made from tomato paste, or if you are in a hurry, a jarred marinara. I like Great-Value plain Spaghetti Sauce.

Add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of each of the above spices. Depending on how much "spice" you like. I like! Also, add 1/8 of sugar. Sugar..really? Really! Trust me on this. Are we clear? Crystal! Are we clear? (What movie does that come from?)

Simmer the sauce on medium-low...low-medium? Which ever!

Next, bring a large pot of water to boil water with approx. 2 tsp. of oil. (To keep the noodles from sticking

Once the water is a full rolling boil, add Barilla pasta. Trust me. There is no other pasta. All other pasta heard about Barilla, and they went into retirement. I use about 1/2 to 3/4 of a large box. Drain noodles. Then, take your fabulous marinara meat sauce & pour it over the noodles. Mix thoroughly & pour fresh mozzarella & Parmesan cheese over the top!

Then.....yell...."DIIINNNNNEEERRR!"
